- Early Victorian turquoise and pearl locket brooch with swivel front.
- Brooch made from bicolor rose and yellow gold.
- The front of the brooch swings to the side to reveal an oval shaped beveled glass compartment. The decorative front snaps securely into place.
- The glass locket compartment is accessed through a hinged glass panel on the reverse of the brooch.
- Brooch is set with turquoise glass balls (2mm) and seed pearls (1.5mm).
- Brooch measures 3 3/4" l x 1 5/8" w x 5/8" d. The glass locket compartment measures 1" x 1 1/4".
- The brooch is in very good antique condition, showing expected signs of wear. The lower drop pendant has a small solder repair and there are spots where a hinged bail and additional dangles may have been attached originally.
- Brooch is unmarked. The body tests as 9kt gold and the decorative elements as 15kt gold. Brooch weighs 28.0 grams.
